What’s happening at St. Peter’s

June 4th, 2010

Sundays

10:00 a.m. Holy Eucharist

Thursdays at 8:00 a.m. Holy Eucharist with Healing/anointing

Bad news . . . Good news . . . The Vicarage was broken to twice last month.  Two of the steel venetian shutters were destroyed and currently have plywood covers.  In reality, there are no ‘windows’ in the Vicarage.  only shutters and some screens.  The Good News is that within the month there will be installed hurricane windows on the first floor.  For the first time in many years there will be natural light in the living and dining rooms.  What a joy. This is thanks to a grant from the Diocese of Southeast Florida for Rectory/Vicarage restoration there will be only a minor hit on our building fund.  God is kind.

As of July 4th, three windows in and counting.  It’s getting bright in here.

REALLY REALLY GOOD NEWS! St. Peter’s has been gifted with a new Walters grand piano with a disc player unit.  It has been tuned and the disc player installed.  It is beautiful to behold.  Many thanks to our most munificent benefactors.

This, together with our newly restored organ make St. Peter’s an excellent venue for musical performance.  It is our hope to host the occasional Sunday Musical in the near future.  If you feel inclined to help with this new program please call me at 305.510.9829.  Thanks.
